A buried titan vault reveals that the dwarves’ forgotten past is written in stone and guarded by living machines.

Origins & history

Uldaman began as a titan-forged repository associated with Ironaya and the containment of troggs. After Tyr’s death, Archaedas and Ironaya expanded the refuge to protect the Discs of Norgannon and the followers who had escaped Loken’s betrayal.

Earthen sheltered within its chambers gradually succumbed to the curse of flesh. Their descendants emerged as dwarves, leaving behind much of the knowledge of their own origins. The ruins therefore contain both an ancient prison and a record of how the peoples exploring it came to exist.

Why we enter

Dwarven excavation draws adventurers into a struggle over artifacts and forgotten knowledge. Troggs, Dark Iron intruders and surviving guardians occupy different parts of the dig. The expedition seeks answers in a place where opening another sealed chamber can release a threat as easily as a discovery.

The story inside

Revelosh and the Lost Dwarves occupy the outer reaches. Recovering the pieces of the staff allows access to Ironaya’s chamber, connecting treasure hunting with the vault’s mechanisms. The Ancient Stone Keeper, Galgann Firehammer and Grimlok stand along deeper routes.

Archaedas waits among dormant stone guardians in the final sanctuary. Defeating him allows the party to study the Discs of Norgannon and consult the record they preserve. The reward that matters most to the wider story is the revelation of the dwarves’ titan-forged ancestry.
