Swamp of Sorrows

A waterlogged frontier between the old invasion route and a sunken temple.

East of Deadwind Pass, the Swamp of Sorrows is a land of standing water and dense vegetation. Crocolisks, jaguars and bog beasts make travel dangerous. Stonard anchors the Horde’s presence here, far from its western heartlands.

The Temple of Atal’Hakkar lies in the Pool of Tears. Its association with the worship of Hakkar connects this remote swamp to the troll histories of the southern jungles. To the south, the Blasted Lands replace marshland with the scarred approach to the Dark Portal.
