South of Duskwood stretches the great jungle of Stranglethorn. It was a center of the Gurubashi Empire, and troll ruins still shape its landscape. Zul’Gurub and the history of Hakkar connect the jungle to conflicts far older than Stormwind.

Booty Bay and its Blackwater Raiders contend with the Bloodsail Buccaneers, while travelers and hunters venture into the interior. Here the stories of empire, trade and piracy meet. Stranglethorn is one continuous zone in Classic.
