What Is Eating the Catch?

At Crystal Lake, Jason Mathers is struggling to catch fish. Inspecting the nets reveals half-eaten catches, and Jason blames the murlocs. He first asks for an attack on them, but killing a few raiders offers little reassurance that the losses will stop. He sends for advice from Remy “Two Times”.

Remy proposes a different weapon: bait prepared with animal blood and duskweed, a plant he describes as poisonous in sufficient quantities. Gathering it would also remove a nuisance from the farms. His instructions go back to Jason, with a promise that the bait will be ready later. The visible quest text ends with that plan; it does not establish that the fishery recovers.

Lee Brown has a smaller experiment of his own. He wants shiny odds and ends from the murloc camp, reasoning that what attracts a murloc might attract a fish. Together, these requests give Crystal Lake a livelihood at stake, rather than making its inhabitants merely another bounty.
