Origins & history

The enormous thorns of Razorfen are sacred to the quilboar, who associate them with the blood of Agamaggan. The great boar demigod fell fighting the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients. His legacy makes these settlements more than defensible warrens: they stand within a religious landscape.

Charlga Razorflank dominates Razorfen Kraul and directs attacks against rivals and nearby Horde communities. Evidence of contact with the Scourge suggests that her ambitions may be drawing an outside power into the quilboar homeland.

Why we enter

Adventurers enter to confront Charlga and answer attacks on neighboring peoples. Captives and lost travelers give the expedition additional purposes, including helping Willix the Importer escape. The assault takes place within an inhabited stronghold whose occupants have their own loyalties and sacred traditions.

The story inside

Roogug, Aggem Thorncurse and Death Speaker Jargba represent the quilboar’s elemental and spiritual leadership. Overlord Ramtusk commands military defenders, while Agathelos the Raging provides a more direct expression of their power.

Charlga is the final ruler confronted within the thorns. A scroll connected to her supplies evidence for the quest An Unholy Alliance, turning suspicions about the Scourge into a lead for further investigation. The story thereby points toward Razorfen Downs rather than ending with an isolated chieftain’s defeat.

Aftermath & legacy

Charlga’s fall weakens her faction but does not remove the undead threat from Razorfen. The neighboring burial grounds reveal how deeply the Scourge has already penetrated. The two dungeons are connected chapters at different points in the leveling journey, not interchangeable names for one place.
